Ties
Ties should be made of silk, no less than three and a quarter inches wide with a conservative pattern. The best colors are red or burgundy.

Shirts
You should wear long-sleeved shirts, even in summer. The most appropriate colors are white, light blue or conservative stripes.

Socks
Choose dark socks of mid-calf length that match your shoes. No skin should be visible when you sit down.

Shoes
If you haven’t a good pair of leather, lace-up or slip-on business shoes, you should purchase them. Even if you don't wear them daily on the job, you'll need them for other occasions. Black or cordovan ones are preferable.

Belt
It also should be made of black or cordovan leather and match your shoes.

Facial hair
If you wear moustaches or beard, they should be well-groomed. If you have any doubts about what's appropriate, consider changing your look.

Jewelry
Choose a conservative watch. If you wear other jewelry, be conservative. Earrings are inappropriate.
